2. purposes, legal bases, data categories

We process personal data to provide this website, for communication (e.g. making appointments) and to fulfil legal obligations.

  • Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR - Contract/initiation (e.g. appointment agreement, billing)
  • Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR - Legal obligations (e.g. storage in accordance with HGB/AO)
  • Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR - Legitimate interest (secure, functional website)
  • Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR - Consent (for voluntary functions such as maps/video)

Typical data: Contact and communication data (name, e-mail, telephone), content data, as well as usage data/meta data (e.g. IP address, time stamp) when pages are accessed.

3. hosting & server log files

Our website is hosted by Mittwald (Mittwald CM Service GmbH & Co. KG, Germany/EU). There is an order processing contract with the provider (Art. 28 GDPR).

Server log data is automatically processed during access: IP address, date/time, time zone, URL accessed, referrer, HTTP status, user agent. Purposes: technical delivery, stability, IT security (e.g. error analysis, defence against attacks). Legal basis: Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. Storage duration: Generally 14-30 days; longer storage only on a case-by-case basis.

4. cookies & end device storage (TTDSG)

We only use technically necessary cookies/similar technologies that are necessary for the operation, security and presentation of the website (§ Section 25 para. 2 no. 2 TTDSG i. V. m. Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR).

Optional functions (e.g. Google Maps/YouTube) are only activated after your Consent loaded (§ 25 para. 1 TTDSG, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke your consent at any time via the Cookie settings of the website.

5. contact & appointment

If you contact us by telephone, fax, e-mail or form, we will process your details to deal with your enquiry and, if necessary, to arrange an appointment. Legal basis: Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR (pre-contractual/contractual communication), alternatively lit. f (interest in efficient communication). Storage duration: until completion of processing; up to 6/10 years in the case of legal obligations.

6. patient/customer administration & billing

We process customer/billing data in order to fulfil the treatment contract. Recipients may be - where necessary - IT, hosting or billing service providers, laboratories, referring/referring practices/clinics and tax consultants. Legal bases: Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b and lit. c GDPR; order processing according to Art. 28 GDPR.

7. google maps

On our website we bind Google Maps to conveniently display locations. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Parent company: Google LLC, USA.

When the maps are displayed, the IP address, device/browser information, location data and usage data may be transmitted to Google; data may be transmitted to the USA. Google may link data to your Google account if you are logged in there.

Legal basis: Your Consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR, § 25 para. 1 TTDSG). The cards are only loaded after consent has been given; this can be revoked at any time via the Cookie settings be revoked.

Third country transfer: For transfers to the USA, Google relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF) and/or EU standard contractual clauses (Art. 44 et seq. GDPR).

8. recipients & third country transfers

Transmission to third countries does not take place, except in the context of expressly used services (e.g. Google Maps) and only in compliance with Art. 44 et seq. GDPR.

9. safety

We use TLS/SSL encryption and appropriate technical and organisational measures in accordance with Art. 32 GDPR.

10. obligation to provide

Certain information is required for making appointments and carrying out treatment. Without this information, processing may not be possible.

11. no automated decision-making

Automated decision-making including profiling in accordance with Art. 22 GDPR does not take place.

12. rights of data subjects

Subject to the legal requirements, you have the right to Information (Art. 15), Correction (Art. 16), Cancellation (Art. 17), Restriction (Art. 18), Data portability (Art. 20) and Contradiction against processing on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (Art. 21). You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future revoked (Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR).

Right of appeal

You can lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, e.g. the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia (LDI NRW), Kavalleriestr. 2-4, 40213 Düsseldorf, www.ldi.nrw.de.

13. storage

We only store personal data for as long as is necessary for the purposes or as long as there are legal obligations (regularly 6 or 10 years according to HGB/AO).

14. actuality

This privacy policy is currently valid (status: 24.10.2025). We adapt them if services, processes or the legal situation so require.
